It is the second time when we visit Kuala Lumpur during our travels thru S-E Asia, and we are still mesmerised by the scenic views, especially the night scenery, and the rich diversity of cultures.
Malaysia’s capital heritage is a diverse mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian influences and not to forget about the long period of British colonial rule.
This time we wanted to stay in Bukit Ceylon as it is very close to KLCC, Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and the vibrant Bukit Bintang. Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residences was the perfect place to enjoy the city’s magnificent skyline while being at a walking distance from our favourite spots in KL.
Lanson Place manages eleven serviced apartment buildings in Shanghai, Chengdu, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon is placed in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and features fully furnished 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. All the apartments have stylish, modern interior design with hi-tech facilities.
After a busy and tiring morning, we very much enjoyed the warm and friendly welcome at Lanson Place. But the best part was yet to come. When we entered into our suite, the view from our window left us speechless for a couple of moments.
While we arrived at Lanson Place, a storm was approaching the city. Trust me, the view of Kuala Lumpur’s skyscrapers slowly disappearing into the heavy, dark clouds and the beautiful lightning show offered us one of the most beautiful displays of the city.
It took us a while to get away from the window and to finally explore our one-bedroom residence. We stayed at the 47th floor and from our bedroom and living room we had panoramic views of the city, the KL Tower and the iconic Petronas Towers.
We were very lucky, as from our suite we could see the sunrise and the sunset and both were spectacular.
The kitchen was fully equipped with washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge freezer and everything you need to cook your own meals.
The bathroom was spacious with one bathtub, and two showers (a rain shower and a normal one) and designer toiletries were included.
Every morning, the breakfast buffet was served on the top floor, the 48th level, with the same amazing views over the city. The breakfast was Continental with many options to choose from; I especially liked the smoked salmon and the delicious pastries.
At the 49th level, we enjoyed some time in the lounge, playing pool, drinking coffee and taking photos of the magnificent Petronas Towers. The lounge is perfect for business travellers for meetings or getting some work done.
There is also an open terrace (with a barbeque area) where we liked to sip our coffee in the morning and enjoy the sun. ☺
Both the restaurant and the lounge have a warm atmosphere and staying at 47th floor and having them just above us made us feel like we were staying in a penthouse.
At the top level we had the fully equipped gym, shame on me as I didn't use it and on the 5th floor was a huge swimming pool surrounded by palm trees, that obviously I couldn't resist to try it. There is also a bar near the pool from where you can order some food or just get yourself a coconut and enjoy it while reading a book and get some tan.
The view from our room was definitely the highlight of our stay at Lanson Place. Every day ended with us in front of the window, contemplating the skyline of one of the most fascinating Asian cities.
I was welcomed as a guest at Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residence in exchange for a review. As always, all opinions expressed on raulcaramizaru.com are my own.
